Red Bandana releases CD during Buena Vista concert

Nearly two years ago, four Salida grade-school girls decided to form a band at a sleepover. The girls will release their first CD and shoot footage for a music video while headlining a concert in Buena Vista.
Alexandra Maes, 13, Faith Spino, 12, and Lily and Mesa Pinto, both 11, said their band, Red Bandana, has come a long way since their first performance at Salida Community Center in November 2010.
“We played four songs for two hours, over and over again,” Mesa, the band’s drummer, said.
