Hi, my name is Alexandra. I am thirteen and have lived my whole life in Colorado, and want to stay here the rest of my life. My goal to aspire in music all started at the brinks of a town called Winter Park, where I started learning piano, and where I took a step toward my musical passion. Most of my family has been involved in music for quite some years, but my dad was the one who encouraged me to start studying piano. My parents look back on my toddler years and remember me singing and dancing all around the house. It was no surprise to them that I would soon take interest in some academic learning in musical theory. After being in Winter Park for a while, I moved to Salida, where I brought my knowledge of music with me, soon to be shared. The start of a new school was a tough one for me, and that was where I took my interest in songwriting. I express a lot of emotion from what I am feeling into every-single one of my songs that I create. I’m so glad I have such an amazing opportunity to share my songs with you. It makes me feel glad knowing other people understand what I am feeling too. After living quite some time in Salida, I gladly found some friends that I shared deep bonds with, and a band. Once the band started I felt like I was a part of something bigger than what I thought I would soon become, but most of all I felt like I had found some friends that accepted, cared, and loved me for who I was. Now, being in this band for about 2 years, I feel like I have conquered one of my life’s dreams. I hope I never wake up. Aside from my musical enthusiasm, it is awfully clear that I am a true Coloradan. I love to ski, snowboard, mountain-bike, swim, run, play soccer, play gaga, badminton, occasionally play basketball, camp, hike, skip, do triathlons, and giggle, (because us Coloradans love to laugh at our mistakes). I also take interest in painting, dancing, photography, drawing, and writing. I would love to be accepted to Juilliard someday and get a good education. Traveling the world is my life’s desire, taking after my mom. Hopefully, I can travel doing what I love, which is music. Thanks to Bones (our band manager) I have had AMAZING opportunities that I would never guess of having. He is so helpful and kind in so many ways that I cannot stop thanking him. I wouldn’t be this far without the help and encouragement of all of my friends and family, so I would like to thank all of them. Hopefully, everyone can have some kind of music inspiration inside of them. All you have to do is look around and find something that no one else can see, because everyone has a song in them, and all you have to do is take it and fly.
