When you hear them, it’s easy to forget how young they are.
The raw, positive energy and amazing musicianship exhibited on stage by these young ladies endears them instantly to any audience while their infectious hooks will dance in your head for quite some time!
These girls are all serious musicians and they write songs that have a universal appeal while tackling themes well beyond their years. Playing mostly originals, Red Bandana also performs covers by artists including; Sara Barrilles, Simon and Garfunkel and more.
Red Bandana was formed in 2010 by four best friends at a sleep-over that sparked the idea of starting a band. Alex had played piano since the age of 5 and wrote her first song when she was just 8. The other three members had dabbled in music but only started taking it seriously when they decided to form the band.
Since embarking on their collective journey, they have become much closer as friends and have inspired each other to master their instruments. They all dedicate a great deal of time to individual lessons, practice and band rehearsals. While they all aspire to be professional musicians, they are still normal girls and love the outdoor activities offered by the beautiful mountains that surround their hometown of Salida, Colorado.
Red Bandana derives their name from the story of Welles Crowther whose heroics on 9/11 saved more than a dozen lives in the Twin Towers.
Red Bandana wants to share their music and message with as large and diverse an audience as possible.
